Bollywood Collab Workshop w/ Vish & Tithi

About Vish: Vishwadha Gunda is a Telugu-American movement artist, choreographer, and dance educator. As founder of Vishious Vicinity, she builds from over 15 years of versatile dance training in styles ranging from Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Bollywood, Tollywood, Hip-Hop, and more. From teaching to performing to creating dance movement locally, nationally, and internationally, Vishwadha emphasizes connection and representation in all art forms.

She directed and produced her first dance film, Mahanati iterating the various roles women’s play in society while depicting and normalizing the wide range of emotions often misconstrued as undesirable. Vish also showcased Asha in Bloom alongside her co-choreographers at 2024 National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. Asha in Bloom builds on the theme of hope, renewal, and joy—emotions and feelings are all representative of a new season in life.

About Tithi: Tithi is a desi dance instructor previously based in Chicago, but soon moving to New York City. Her love for dance started at 5 years old when she started learning Bharata Natyam, and this love for dance expanded to other styles after her Arangetram. At Georgia Tech, she joined the collegiate Bhangra team, which she then captained for 3 years. During this time, she led her team to 15 national competitions, securing 6 wins, and she trained over 60 dancers. She now continues her passion for Bhangra through workshops, where she experiments with flow, creativity, and nakhra (stage presence). She's also currently learning Kathak, and is proficient in Garba, Bollywood, and desi fusion styles. Tithi started teaching workshops in Oct 2022 and has taught 30+ classes to date in various cities. Her goal with workshops is to create a safe space for her students to dance and grow outside of their comfort zone.
