Vishwadha Gunda Founder and Director
Krishnapriya Nair Outreach Coordinator
Vish's dance experience begins with her formal training in two Indian classical dance forms. She is a professional dancer in both Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam with over 15 years of training. She completed her Arangetram in 2013 in Hanamkonda, India.
Since she began training at the age of 7, Vish has competed in a number of city, state, and national level competitions for classical dance. She picked up an interest in Bollywood and began exploring that style during her free time in her teenage years. Now, she choreographs Bollywood, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Semi-classical, Tollywood, Kuthu, and folk dance styles.
During her college years, Vish performed and competed with her Bollywood fusion team, UAB Rangeela, in Birmingham, AL across the country. She learned other dance forms such as Bhangra, contemporary, and hip-hop dance styles while on UAB Rangeela. While competing in the Desi Dance Network (DDN) circuit, their team placed at a number of competitions.
Post-graduation, Vish continues to teach private lessons in Kuchipudi, Bollywood, Mass, Kuthu, Tollywood, and more. She instructed at Zind Performing Academy in various dance styles to primarily teens, but all age groups. Vish continues to expand her dance knowledge by training in various dance styles through The Lions Den and Mehfil Mitraan Di, The Watchlist Dance Co., and professional instructors all over.

VISION - THE BANYAN TREE
To create a safe vicinity for dancers to feel vishous together.
MISSION - THE BRANCHES
For all to connect, grow, and inspire one another.
- to connect: diverse communities and dance educators
- to grow: an opportunity for artists to train, perform, collaborate
- to inspire: exploring and creating free movement and expression
OUR STORY - THE SEED
When "Naatu Naatu" won the Golden Globe Awards, the South Asian community was so elated to see representation on a global scale. However, it was underwhelming to not see any South Asian dancers represented in the live rendition of 'Naatu Naatu' at the 95th Oscars ceremony.
This showed us that our dance community needs to come together to integrate and support each other, our craft, expertise and talent as dancers, performers, choreographers, curators, and artists.
Vishiousmoves hopes to bridge the gap in dance, culture, and representation by bringing a diverse range of dance educators to expose to our community. By bringing in instructors that explore and navigate the narrative of dance and storytelling, we hope to uplift each other in all arenas of life.
Imagine all the unique dance styles that can emerge from the diaspora community by allowing south asian dance styles to freely blend with modern expression and movement.
