About Your Instructor: Vish began her dance journey at the age of 7 through formal Bharatanatyam training. Her classical training encompasses 15+ years of Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, and she completed her Arangetram/Rangapravesham (professional debut) in 2013 under Guru B. Sudheer Rao in Warangal, Telangana, India. She continues to train under Guru Padmakalyan Vajjah with Sanchalana School of Dance.
She began choreographing Bollywood and Tollywood dance routines in her teens, and has performed, competed, and placed in both Classical and Bollywood competitions throughout the country. In college, she joined UAB Rangeela where she learned the basics and fundamentals of primarily Hip-Hop and Contemporary styles. Post-graduation, Vish taught Bollywood, Kuthu, Semi-classical, and Bhangra-fusion at Zind Performing Academy, and she now continues to train in various Street styles through The Lion's Den. She was co-director of Khiladis, the all-female national Alumni dance team and now, she is a dancer on The Watchlist Dance Co. As founder of Vishious Vicinity, she builds and connects communities of artists all over the country and world for a platform that is representative and welcome for all.
