Description

Aishwarya Sriraman began her journey in Bharatanatyam at the age of six under the guidance of Guru Smt. Meena Rajagopal. Growing up, she performed extensively at events across the Triangle area and completed her arangetram in 2011. She has also participated in numerous Bharatanatyam productions in the U.S. directed by renowned professionals. During her time at NC State University, Aishwarya served as a choreographer and dancer for the university’s Indian classical dance team, Thandav. Since 2017, she has been a resident dancer and musician with the South Asian Performing Arts Network and Institute (SAPAN), where she has contributed to the creation and choreography of original productions showcased at arts festivals in the Washington, D.C., area. Additionally, she is a singer and nattuvangam artist on Nootana, a DMV-based Indian classical arts ensemble based in Washington, D.C. While Bharatanatyam is her first love, Aishwarya enjoys pushing her limits as a dancer by dabbling in many dance styles!
